The PRTL (Premiere Title) extension indicates a file used by Adobe Premiere Pro, an application part of the Adobe Creative Suite developed by Adobe Systems Inc. and designed for video editing, graphic design and web development. Adobe Premiere is a timeline-based application and constitutes the video editing component of the suite.
The first version was released in 1991 with over 10 iterations following until version 7 when Adobe rewrote the source code of the entire program and changed its name to Adobe Premiere Pro.
PRTL files are created with Adobe Premiere Pro and are used to store the video titles of a project. Until version 7 (Premiere Pro) video titles were saved as PTL files. PRTL files contain the text, formatting options, animations and effects used to create video titles.
How to open PRTL files
