Files with the extension .KWS are ringtone files for use with mobile/cell phones produced by 'KYOCERA' a Japanese company based in 'Kyoto'. The .KWS file format is utilised by phones produced by the Kyocera Wireless corporation which in Febuary 2000 bought out the mobile phone manufacturing operations of the American company 'QUALCOMM '.
